    • The role of matrix metalloproteinase 3 to progression of pulmonary fibrosis in mouse silicosis

    • The latest research found that in the silicosis model of mice induced by silica, TGF - β 1 led to the increase of MMP3 secreted by fibroblasts and retention in pulmonary ECM, which aggravated collagen deposition and promoted pulmonary fibrosis. MMP3 may become a potential therapeutic target for silicosis fibrosis.
