    • Effects of advanced maternal age on hippocampal synaptic pruning in offspring rats

    • The latest research has found that synaptic pruning in the hippocampus of older pregnant offspring is abnormal after birth, manifested by reduced dendritic complexity, decreased dendritic spine density, and disordered morphology, which may be one of the mechanisms of brain dysfunction in older pregnant offspring.
